Many of my father-in-law's ( Eneas Mendes Machado) relatives came from Canton Fribourg in Switzerland. Especially from the place Charmey, which today is a municipality in the district of Gruyère.
In the same district-Gruyère the wife ( Marilda Thürler ) of Milton Mendes Machado, Eneas brother,
had her family Thürler's origins. The name of this place is Jaun ( Bellegarde ), Gruyère, Fribourg.
